ASIS UK New Chapter Committee Member Date: Monday, October 10, 2011 |
ASIS UK are delighted to announce that Alexandra Whyte (Group Security Manager at Johnson Matthey) has accepted an invitation to join the Chapter Committee. Alex started her policing and security career in the Royal Military Police in 1989. After leaving the army she gained a BSc in Sports Science and Nutrition. She then switched services and took a commission in the Royal Air Force serving as a Provost Officer in various roles and locations. In 2006 she left the service to set up her own business as a personal trainer. In 2010 she was recruited as a Group Security Assessor for the FTSE 100 company Johnson Matthey. Alex commenced a MSc in Security Management through the University of Loughborough in April 2011, at the same time she was promoted to Group Security Manager for Johnson Matthey. Alex joined ASIS in April 2010 and has attended 2 ASIS International exhibitions. She volunteered to be the UK ASIS Women in Security (WIS) representative in July 2011 and just recently became the ASIS Europe WIS representative.
