At the invitation of the SIA Carlisle Security's Operations Director, and Honorary Treasurer of the IPSA, Paul Trendall, addressed a group of MPs at the House of Commons, sharing a platform with Alan Campbell the Home Office Minister responsible for the SIA and Bill Butler the SIA's new Chief Executive. In a 10 minute address he commended the work of the SIA to the MPs, remarking how much the standards within the security industry had improved since the creation of the SIA and the SIA's Approved Contractor Scheme.  He also reminded everyone that as security businesses pay to be members of the Approved Contractor Scheme, they were customers of the SIA as well as regulated by them, and expected as all customers do, great customer service. Paul leaves Carlisle Security this week to become Commercial Director at Impellam Support Services (Carlisle Security, Carlisle Cleaning, Recruit Events and Recruit Retail).
