Children Flee School In Bomb Alert Date: Wednesday, September 08, 2010 |
A suspicious object was found near the police station in Crumlin at 1100 BST on Wednesday. People living in nearby Mill Road have had to leave their homes. Crumlin Primary School has been evacuated and staff and children have taken shelter in a community centre. Army bomb experts are at the scene. Mill Road has been closed between Crumlin Road and Main Street. On Monday, an eight-year-old schoolboy at St Comgall's Primary School in Antrim - which is near to Crumlin was at the centre of an alert when he picked up a pipebomb in the school playground.
