A doorman needed surgery on a broken nose after he was headbutted by a customer. Bouncer Victar Kirkevich had stepped in when he saw Gareth Spurs punch the manager at the Gate, in Newcastle. Newcastle Crown Court heard Spurs, of Nora Street, High Barnes, headbutted Mr Kirkevich. Spurs, 27, admitted assault and common assault and was given a 12-month community order with supervision.
