Five people have been charged in connection with a robbery in Blackburn during which a security guard was shot in the leg.
The 30-year-old was shot in the right knee as he was making an early-morning cash delivery to an ATM machine in Preston Old Road in December.
Dean Farrell, 22, of Billinge Avenue , Blackburn and David Evans, 20, of Bonsall Street , Blackburn have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and section 18 wounding with intent. Samantha Knight, 24, of Cavendish Place, Blackburn, Simon Ginn, 28, of Water Steet, Accrington and Colin McCash, 31, of Spencer Street, Accrington, have all been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
They are all due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates today.
A 27 year old woman from Blackburn has been released on bail pending further enquiries, while a 26 year old man from Blackburn remains in police custody.
