G4S PLC, the security services company, today bought Danish locksmith company Byens Laaseservice ApS from Steiner ApS to expand within the Danish market. The company didn't disclose the sum of the acquisition but said that Byens Laaseservice, which was established in 1977, had gross assets of 600,000 stg. G4S shares rose on the news and at 08.05 am were up 0.6 pct or 1.25 pence to 213 pence. Byens Laaseservice is based in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city.
