Man Arrested After Security Alert Date: Friday, January 30, 2009 Source: BBC News

A man was arrested by police after a security alert at a Shropshire school. Police were called following reports a man carrying an axe was seen near the Learning Centre, in Hadley, Telford. One road was closed after the incident on Wednesday afternoon. Most of the 420 pupils had already left for the day and no-one was injured. A West Mercia Police spokesman said the man in his 40s, who had been arrested under the Mental Heath Act, was released on police bail.
