Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre "Outstanding"

The latest Ofsted inspection report for Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre, published last week, has awarded the centre an overall grading of outstanding as a child-centred organisation.

In particular the report praised the centre’s promotion of equality and diversity, its excellent education provision and the outstanding arrangements for keeping young people healthy. In addition the report noted further improvements in the areas of behaviour management, complaints and safeguarding procedures since the last inspection.

Commenting on the report, Centre Director Vince Raymond said “we take great pride in the work we do with the young people at Rainsbrook and are absolutely delighted that this is recognised by the inspectors.”

Paul Cook, Director of Children’s Services at G4S Care & Justice Services, commented “I am delighted that Rainsbrook continues to deliver “outstanding” outcomes for young people, which is replicated across all of our child care services to both the YJB and local authorities.”
