Security Networking Event

Security Networking Events reports back on the success of their last meeting and gives information on the next event.

Since our inaugural Security Networking Event on 2nd September at the Victory Services Club we have had numerous enquiries from past and potential delegates wanting to know more about the consultancy and management side of security business and how to get into it.

We have greatly appreciated the positive feedback from those who attended that first event and are very pleased that it achieved such a broad range of delegates' personal aims and aspirations for an introduction into the many areas of the private and corporate security sector.

Examples of some of the Delegate Feedback:

“What I did get out of it was a much better understanding of the “Circuit” which will enable me to plan ahead for my resettlement courses and I even won in the raffle.  The cost of the event was £120 which included food and refreshments all day.  Was it worth it, most definitely!  I highly recommend it to any service leaver who wishes to or has a remote interest to break in to the Security Industry”
 WO2 Rob Mcintyre, Royal Marines

“Many thanks for delivering an excellent event.  It was a pleasure to meet you on Wednesday and i was also fortunate enough to enjoy productive conversations with both John Davidson and Ian Hearne” Mark Cowan, Company Director
“I found the event to be a great help in beginning a career within the Security Industry and would advise anybody who would chose this career to attend one of these events.”
Peter John Millns

SNE`s Next Symposium – 9th December at the Naval & Military Club, London.

Building on your feedback and questions, we are delighted to introduce our next event which we are calling our “High Achievers Security Symposium”. This has been designed to educate and inform delegates in more depth about the many facets of consultancy, management and corporate security roles. It will be a specialist niche event and we are concentrating on these particular subjects in some detail.

Eight well established and highly respected speakers, most of whom have a background from the armed forces, will lay the framework based on their personal experiences upon which the symposium will explore those areas that interest you most.

The day will cover the reasons why a delegate may want to embark upon a career as a consultant, how to tune your CV and gain the experience required to achieve these opportunities and what qualifications a potential employer will be looking for.

Our speakers will also cover the challenges of consultancy roles in different environments around the world and here in the UK. In addition, there will be presentations from senior security managers and corporate security officers providing personal observations on all aspects of their roles.

So if you are ambitious to gain more knowledge about these aspects of the security market and believe that you could be a competitive candidate to enter this demanding but equally interesting and rewarding part of the private security industry, then this event is for you.

There will be several Question and Answer panels throughout the day to allow delegates opportunities to explore in more detail those subjects of personal interest. We have limited attendance to only 75 delegates for this event in order to facilitate a more personal workshop environment and provide as much "one-on-one" time as possible.

Delegates who were present at our inaugural event will remember the high standard of presentations and speakers: those who were unable to attend for whatever reason may have heard from others about the value of the information provided.

Please visit our website to read past delegates’ feedback and testimonials together with some photos of our first event.

Our High Achievers Security Symposium on 9th December will appeal to a wide range of delegates from serving senior non commissioned officers to mid seniority officers. There will also be value to younger but experienced circuit operators with industry experience who are looking to progress their careers into these sectors.

See below for the confirmed list of 8 speakers for the 9th December Symposium:

- Russ Corn (Managing Director Diligence LLC)

- John Davidson (Security Consultant & Owner of Rubicon Advisors)

- Mark Hughes (Group Security Director for British Telecom)

- Andrew Edwards (Security Consultant & Owner of Consilium Risks Strategies)

- Retired General Sir Rob Fry (Vice President and Managing Director EDS Defense) - Key Note Speaker

- Richard Kemp (Head of Security for Canary Wharf)

- Nigel Burrell (Head of Global Security for Credit Suisse)

- Bob Sheppard (Security Consultant & Author of the bestselling book “The Circuit”)

As well as these 8 guest speakers there will also be a further 6 support VIP`s who will participate in the question time debate sessions and networking opportunities to ensure that each delegate has the opportunity for as much one-on-one time as practical.
