If the Conservatives come into power at the next election, they have promised to make efforts to tighten the country’s security against online threats.

The party has plans to introduce a Cyber Threat and Assessment Centre to analyse and respond to cyber-attacks.

The current government has promised to set up a Cyber Security Operations Centre, but it isn’t yet up and running.

And the Tories pointed out that even when it does get going, it’s only designed to analyse, not actually deal with any cyber-threats to the UK’s security.

The Conservatives are promising a more proactive stance to the online defence of the country.
