Security Guard Stabbed In Robbery Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2009 |
A security guard has been stabbed during an armed robbery in Leeds. The 44-year-old man is in a stable condition in hospital after he and a colleague were attacked by three masked men, West Yorkshire Police said. The incident happened as the guards delivered money to cash machines at Sainsbury's at the Moor Allerton Centre at about 0435 GMT on Tuesday. The 43-year-old guard suffered minor injuries and shock. Police issued an appeal for information. The guards, who were wearing helmets, were hit over the head during the incident, in which a five-figure sum of money was stolen. They were taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment. West Yorkshire Police said the three men who attacked them were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.
