Outstanding Agenda For Border Security Show Date: Thursday, July 05, 2012 |
A preliminary programme for a SecurityOracle.com-backed conference focusing on border security has been released – and it is shaping up to be an impressive event. The first annual Borderpol conference and exhibition is set to bring together management policy makers, professionals and academics to discuss national and international issues. The event, which is being opened by Immigration Minister Damian Green and runs at from October 16-17 at the Central Hall in Westminster, features an impressive array of speakers with decades of experience between them. Among them are Police General Nenad Banovic, Head of the Serbian Border Police Directorate, Col Antti Hartikainen, Director General of the National Board of Customs in Finland and Tony Smith, Executive Board Member and Senior Responsible Owner of the Olympic Programme at the UK Border Force. The speaker line-up also includes Police Chief Quaestor Loan Buda of the Border Police of Romania and Maj Grzegorz Niemiec, who is the respected Deputy Director of the Commanding Centre of the Polish Border Guards. A selection of thought-provoking conference topics are also on the agenda, including sessions about global refugee and migration movement, border management and illegal immigration in Asia and information sharing and joint working.
