Security News Feed:

Using a recommended RSS Feed Reader, you can add an RSS Feed to your site or into your Internet browser that will show all the latest Security news from Security Oracle, the UK's leading Security Information Portal. Security Oracle's news is updated a minimum of 10 times per day with UK relevant Security news articles.

Webmaster Section:

The great advantage of RSS news feeds for you as a webmaster over the traditional Security News ticker, is that search engines actually read RSS feeds as content published on your website. It is well documented that search engines reward websites for having up to date and changing information on their pages.

Security Oracle's news feed will provide you with the ability to have ever changing Security related content automatically published on your website. Using our Security RSS feed therefore takes the headache out of having to constantly update your site, as we'll do it for you!

Copy the XML Page link below and then go to RSS2HTML. Follow the step by step instructions that will explain how to add the RSS feed to your site. (You will also be able to format it so that it matches your sites colour scheme). If you have the ability to upload scripts to your server, we recommend that you choose option 2.

Browser Section:

  • If you use Firefox 2.0, Opera or Internet Explorer 7.0 to browse the Internet you can automatically sign up to our Security News Feed simply by clicking here.
  • If you use MyYahoo! as your homepage, you can add the Security News feed by clicking the "Add Content" link in MyYahoo, then click on the "Add RSS by URL" link which is just to the right of the "Find Content" search box. Then paste in the RSS URL as below into the box and click "Add".
  • If you use MyMSN as your homepage click here to automatically subscribe to our Security News Feed.
  • If you have a Google personalised homepage, log in, click on the "Add Content" hyperlink on the top left of your page. To the top right of the page a search box will open with a link to "Add by URL". A small window will then appear underneath the Google search field. Paste or type the RSS feed as below and click "Add".
  • Most other major sites' homepages allow you to subscribe to RSS feeds. Please check their individual FAQ's for further details. The majority are simple variations of the instructions above.

Security News RSS Feed

RSS Feeds are simple XML pages that can be read by either a Feed Reader or News Aggregator (which we supply). By linking to our XML page via a reader you will be able to display RSS Feeds on your sites for your users to read and use.

We recommend "RSS2HTML", which is an easy to use online application that can get you up and running with RSS. All you have to do is simply change the colors to adapt it to your site.
